Prepare the Dough

Mix wheat flour, brown sugar, butter, and a pinch of salt. Combine until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Then, add the egg and blend until a firm dough forms. Divide into small balls and let rest.

Cook the Waffles

Preheat your waffle iron to a medium-high setting. Place a dough ball in the center, press down the lid, and cook until the waffle is golden brown. Repeat with the remaining dough.
