  • ground beef (100g)

🍳 How to cook (4 servings):

Cooking Time: 45 minutesPreperation Time: 15 minutes

Ingredient Preparation

Start by dicing one large onion, two carrots, and two stalks of celery. Mince three cloves of garlic. If you're using fresh tomatoes, blend them to make two cups of tomato puree. Alternatively, you can use canned tomato puree. Grate one cup of Parmesan cheese and set it aside for garnishing.

Cooking the Meat

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add two tablespoons of olive oil, and once hot, add the diced vegetables. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes. Add 500g of ground beef and cook until browned. Make sure to break the meat apart with a spoon as it cooks.

Combining Ingredients

To the skillet, add the minced garlic, two cups of tomato puree, one tablespoon of tomato paste, a cup of red wine (optional), one teaspoon of dried oregano, one teaspoon of dried basil, and salt and pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. The longer it simmers, the deeper the flavors will develop.

Final Touches

Cook 400g of spaghetti according to the package instructions. Once the spaghetti is cooked and drained, add it to the sauce and toss well to combine. Serve hot, garnished with the grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
