- flour (100g)
- sugar (150g)
- butter (100g)
- cocoa powder (50g)
- eggs (100g)
- baking powder (5g)
- milk (100g)
- peanuts (50g)
- salted caramel (100g)
🍳 How to cook (12 servings):
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
Step 2
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3
Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin).
Step 4
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 5
Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
Step 6
While the cakes are cooling, prepare the salted caramel. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar until it turns a deep amber color. Carefully add the butter and stir until melted, then stir in the heavy cream and salt. Let it cool.
Step 7
Frost the cake layers with your favorite chocolate frosting, and sprinkle chopped peanuts between the layers and on top. Drizzle generously with salted caramel.
