  • sugar (100g)
  • cocoa powder (30g)
  • butter (100g)
  • eggs (50g)
  • baking powder (5g)
  • milk (50g)
  • chocolate (50g)

Cooking Time: 35 minutesPreperation Time: 20 minutes

Preheat and Prep

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, stir together the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add Wet Ingredients

Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the large bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix for 2 minutes on medium speed of your mixer. Stir in the boiling water last, batter will be thin.

Bake the Cake

Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until the cake tests done with a toothpick.

Cool and Frost

Cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely. Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting.
