  • pepper (2g)
  • garlic (10g)

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2: Prepare the Chicken

Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Rub the entire chicken with olive oil, and season generously with salt, pepper, and your choice of herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, or sage).

Step 3: Truss the Chicken

Truss the chicken by tying the legs together with kitchen twine. This helps the chicken cook evenly.

Step 4: Roast the Chicken

Place the chicken breast-side up on a rack in a roasting pan. Roast in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part of the thigh.
