🍳 How to cook (4 servings):
Cooking the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta (linguine or fettuccine) and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
Cooking the Seafood
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Increase the heat to medium-high, add the shrimp, mussels or clams, and calamari. Cook until the shrimp are pink and the shellfish have opened, about 3-5 minutes. Remove the seafood from the skillet and set aside.
Making the Cream Sauce
In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed. Pour in the white wine (if using) and let it simmer until reduced by half. Lower the heat to medium and add the cream sauce ingredients (heavy cream, butter, or cream cheese). Stir until the sauce has thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combining Ingredients
Add the cooked pasta and seafood back into the skillet with the cream sauce. Toss well to combine, adding a bit of the reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce. Cook for another minute or two until everything is heated through and well combined.
Serving
Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley or herbs, and optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
