  • coffee, brewed and cooled (30g)
  • sugar (20g)
  • cocoa powder for dusting (2g)
  • eggs (50g)
  • chocolate (shavings for decoration) (10g)
  • whipped cream (30g)
  • liquor such as rum or amaretto (5g)

🍳 How to cook (8 servings):

Cooking Time: 4 hours (chilling time)Preperation Time: 30 minutes

Step 1

Prepare the coffee and allow it to cool. If using liquor, mix it with the cooled coffee.

Step 2

Mix the mascarpone cheese with sugar until well combined. Gently fold in whipped cream if desired for a lighter texture.

Step 3

Beat the egg and gradually blend it into the mascarpone mixture for a smooth cream.

Step 4

Dip the sponge cake or ladyfingers briefly into the coffee mixture, making sure not to soak them.

Step 5

Layer the soaked sponge cake or ladyfingers and mascarpone cream in a dish, starting and ending with the cream.

Step 6

Cover and chill the assembled cake in the fridge for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 7

Before serving, dust the top layer with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings.
