Step 1: Sift the Matcha
Sift 1-2 teaspoons of matcha powder into a bowl to remove any clumps.
Step 2: Add Hot Water
Add 2 ounces of hot water (not boiling) to the matcha powder. Use a bamboo whisk (chasen) to mix until smooth and frothy.
Step 3: Heat the Milk
In a small saucepan, heat 8 ounces of milk (regular, almond, soy, or any preferred type) over medium heat until it's hot, but not boiling. You can also use a frother to heat and froth the milk.
Step 4: Combine
