Rice Porridge

1. Measure 100 grams of rice and rinse under cold water until water runs clear to remove excess starch. 2. In a pot, combine rinsed rice with 240 ml of water or milk. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. 3. Simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is soft and the mixture has thickened to your preferred consistency. If using milk, be careful to prevent it from scorching. 4. Serve warm. Optional: Add a pinch of salt or sweetener to taste.

Mashed Cauliflower

1. Cut approximately 100 grams of cauliflower into florets. 2. Steam or boil the cauliflower florets until they are very tender, about 8-10 minutes. 3. Drain well and transfer to a bowl or food processor. 4. Add 30-50 ml of milk or cream and 5-10 grams of butter, if using. Add a pinch of salt to taste. 5. Mash or blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning if necessary. 6. Serve warm.
