🥗 Ingredients:

  • pastry (100g)
  • ground beef (50g)
  • sesame seeds (10g)
  • dipping sauce (30g)

🍳 How to cook (8 servings):

Cooking Time: 25 minutesPreperation Time: 30 minutes

Step 1: Prepare the Pastry Dough

In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Add 1/2 cup of cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes. Using a pastry cutter, blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add 6 tablespoons of cold water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough comes together. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Step 2: Make the Filling

In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Saute 1 cup of finely chopped onions until translucent. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano. Stir in 1 cup of cooked and finely chopped vegetables of choice (such as mushrooms, spinach, or bell peppers). Cook for another 5 minutes. Season with salt to taste and let cool.

Step 3: Assemble the Pastries

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into 4-inch squares. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each square. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 4: Bake the Pastries

Brush the top of each pastry with a beaten egg for a golden finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Step 5: Prepare the Dipping Sauce

In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh dill, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well until smooth.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

Serve the warm pastries with the dipping sauce on the side. Enjoy as a savory snack or a part of your meal.
