- red bell pepper (120g)
- rice (70g)
- cheese (30g)
- vegetables (mixed) (50g)
🍳 How to cook (4 servings):
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2
Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Set the peppers aside.
Step 3
In a large skillet, cook 1 pound of ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken) over medium heat until browned.
Step 4
Add 1 diced onion, 2 minced garlic cloves, and 1 diced tomato to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
Step 5
Stir in 1 cup of cooked rice, 1/2 cup of tomato sauce, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of dried basil, salt, and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 6
Spoon the meat and rice mixture into each bell pepper until they are filled.
Step 7
Place the stuffed bell peppers in a baking dish and pour 1/2 cup of water into the bottom of the dish.
Step 8
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the peppers are tender and the tops are slightly browned.
Step 9
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
