Preparation of Sushi Rice

Start by cooking the sushi rice according to the package instructions until it is sticky and slightly cooled. Mix in a combination of rice vinegar, sugar, and salt to season the rice.

Preparing Nigiri

Slice the raw salmon into thin pieces. With wet hands, grab a small amount of rice, press firmly to form a small, oblong shape. Gently place a slice of salmon on top of the rice. Optionally, add a dab of wasabi between the fish and rice.

Preparing Sushi Rolls

Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo rolling mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice evenly on the nori, leaving space at the edges. Add a line of imitation crab, cream cheese or mayonnaise, cucumber, and microgreens. Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat, then cut into bite-sized pieces. Top some rolls with roe for an extra burst of flavor.

Serving

Arrange the nigiri and sushi rolls on a plate. Serve with small dishes of soy sauce for dipping and a small amount of wasabi on the side. Enjoy your sushi feast!
