🥗 Ingredients:

  • beef (100g)
  • rice noodles (100g)
  • beef broth (300g)
  • onion (20g)
  • ginger (10g)
  • cilantro (5g)
  • green onions (5g)
  • bean sprouts (30g)
  • lime wedges (20g)
  • thai basil (5g)
  • mint leaves (5g)
  • jalapeños (5g)
  • fish sauce (10g)
  • hoisin sauce (5g)
  • sriracha sauce (5g)

🍳 How to cook (4 servings):

Cooking Time: 2-3 hoursPreperation Time: 10 minutes

Broth Preparation

1. In a large pot, combine beef bones, onion, ginger, star anise, cloves, cinnamon stick, and 4 liters of water. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 2 to 3 hours. Skim off any foam that forms. 2. Strain the broth through a fine sieve, return to the pot, and keep warm on low heat. Season with salt and fish sauce to taste.

Beef and Noodles

1. Prepare rice noodles as per the package instructions. 2. Thinly slice the beef. 3. Cook the beef slices in the broth until just done. Some prefer to just dip the raw beef slices into the hot broth to cook to their liking.

Serving

1. Divide the cooked noodles among bowls. 2. Ladle the hot broth and beef slices over the noodles. 3. Garnish with freshly chopped herbs such as cilantro, green onions, and basil. Add sliced chili, lime wedges, and bean sprouts to the table for diners to add to their Pho as per their taste.
