Ingredients

- 12 mozzarella cheese sticks - 1 cup all-purpose flour - 2 large eggs - 2 tablespoons milk - 1 cup breadcrumbs - 1 teaspoon garlic powder - 1 teaspoon onion powder - 1 teaspoon dried oregano - 1 teaspoon dried basil - Salt and pepper to taste - Oil for frying

Instructions

1. Prepare a breading station with three shallow dishes. Fill the first dish with flour. In the second dish, whisk together the eggs and milk. In the third dish, mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. 2. Coat each mozzarella cheese stick in the flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the seasoned breadcrumbs. For extra crispiness, repeat the dipping process in the egg mixture and breadcrumbs. 3. Place the coated cheese sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour to prevent cheese from oozing out during frying. 4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan or deep-fryer to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the frozen cheese sticks to the oil, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. 5. Remove the cheese sticks with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. 6. Serve hot with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
