π³ How to cook (4 servings):
Cook Pasta
Cook your choice of pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli) according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cook Chicken
Heat a bit of oil or butter in a large pan over medium heat. Season diced chicken breast with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices, then cook until browned and no longer pink inside. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Saute Mushrooms
In the same pan, add more oil or butter if needed and sautΓ© sliced mushrooms until golden brown.
Prepare Cream Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and add cream to the pan with mushrooms. If desired, include cheese (e.g., Parmesan) and/or a roux to thicken the sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and additional spices as desired. Let simmer until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Combine
Add the cooked pasta and chicken back into the pan with the cream sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are well coated with the sauce. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
Serve
Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs (e.g., parsley) and additional grated cheese if desired. Optional: sprinkle with red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
