- unsalted butter (10g)
- eggs (20g)
- baking powder (1g)
- salt (1g)
- whole milk (15g)
- vanilla extract (1g)

- icing or powdered sugar (3g)

Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
Vanilla Batter
In a bowl, mix together 30 grams of all-purpose flour, 10 grams of granulated sugar, 5 grams of unsalted butter, 10 grams of eggs (about half of a large egg), a pinch of salt, and 7.5 mL of whole milk. Whisk until smooth, then stir in less than 0.5 mL of vanilla extract.
Chocolate Batter
Use the remaining flour, sugar, butter, egg, and milk to make the base batter. Remove one-third of the batter and mix it with 3 grams of unsweetened cocoa powder to create the chocolate batter.
Marbling
Alternate adding spoonfuls of vanilla and chocolate batter to the prepared cake pan. Swirl the batters together with a knife to create the marbled effect.
Baking
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Decoration
Once cooled, sift icing or powdered sugar over the top for decoration.
