Puff Pastry Preparation

Begin by pre-heating the oven to 200°C (390°F). Cut the puff pastry into desired sizes and prick them with a fork to prevent excessive puffing. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool down completely.

Pastry Cream Preparation

In a medium saucepan, heat milk and vanilla bean paste until it starts to steam. In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch together until smooth. Gradually pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool completely, occasionally stirring to prevent a skin from forming.

Assembly
