Popcorn is a universally loved snack that can be easily made and enjoyed by many. It's highly versatile, allowing for various preparation methods and ingredients to adjust the flavor and nutritional content. Whether you're watching a movie at home, looking for a light snack, or need a quick appetizer, popcorn makes for the perfect option. Its base ingredient, corn, is a whole grain, which contributes beneficial fiber to your diet. Popcorn can be prepared in a healthier manner by air-popping and minimizing high-fat additions such as butter and oil, or it can be indulged in with buttery goodness for a more decadent treat.

Once the oil is hot, add the corn kernels and cover the pot with a lid. Shake the pot occasionally to prevent the kernels from burning. 4. If air-popping, place the kernels in your air-popper according to the manufacturer's instructions. 5. Wait until the popping slows down, indicating most of the kernels have popped. 6. Remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl. 7. If desired, melt 0-30 grams of butter and drizzle over the popped corn. Mix well to evenly coat. 8. Season with salt to taste. 9. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
