Step 1: Prepare Ingredients

Gather all ingredients: 2 slices of whole grain bread, 1 ripe avocado, 4 oz smoked salmon, 1 lemon, 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt and pepper to taste, and optional toppings like red onion, capers, or fresh dill.
