Cooking Time: 30-35 minutesPreperation Time: 1 hour 40 minutes

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine 3 cups of whole wheat flour, 1 package of active dry yeast, and 2 teaspoons of salt. Mix well.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, heat 1 1/2 cups of water, 1/4 cup of honey, and 3 tablespoons of olive oil until warm (not hot).

Step 3

Pour the warm liquid mixture into the dry ingredients. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute, then on high speed for 3 minutes.

Step 6

Punch the dough down and divide it into two portions. Shape each portion into a loaf and place them in greased 9x5 inch loaf pans. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.

Step 7

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the loaves for 30-35 minutes or until they sound hollow when tapped. Remove from pans and cool on wire racks.
