Preparing the Buckwheat Groats

Begin by rinsing 150 grams of buckwheat groats under cold water. In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil and add the rinsed buckwheat. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until water is absorbed and groats are tender. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Cooking the Cutlet

Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Shape approximately 100 grams of your choice of ground beef or pork into a patty. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Place the patty in the skillet and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until thoroughly cooked and slightly browned on the outside. Remove from heat.

Assembling the Meal

Place the cooked buckwheat groats on a plate as the base. Top with the cooked cutlet. Place approximately 30 grams of cheese slices on top of the hot cutlet to allow it to melt slightly. Finally, add a whole pickle (about 50 grams) to the side of the plate. Serve warm.
